Religious Education (RE)

At Mildmay Primary School we are using the RE Today Primary RE Curriculum which is founded by the National Association of Teachers of Religious Education (NATRE). The Primary RE Curriculum is consistent with the National content standard for Religious education in England and supports a range of locally agreed RE syllabuses. 50% of the curriculum explores Christianity: children discover what Christians believe and how they practise their beliefs. In the other 50% children learn about the beliefs in Islam, Judaism and Hinduism and other belief systems through thematic units. Each unit has a 'big question' that the children explore
