Panathlon
Panathlon are an organisation that provide competitive sporting opportunities to children with disabilities and special educational needs across the UK.
For the resource base, Panathlon provides amazing opportunities for our deaf students, to take part in a range of competitive sporting activities alongside other deaf children from across Essex and the South East.
At Mildmay, we see these events not only as a sporting activity but a valuable social and cultural one. The children have the opportunity to meet and interact with other deaf children who they have things in common with, which raises their awareness of and their connection to the larger community to which they belong.
The resource base students are always excited when there is an upcoming event and are so proud of the many medals, certificates and trophies they have won throughout their time at Mildmay.
