Targeted & Specialist (Tier 2)

Teachers of the Deaf and Deaf Mentor offer targeted language, listening and communication support through:

• Daily audiology support
• Specialist language and listening assessment to inform teaching across all tiers.
• Ongoing child-centred planning in collaboration with individual children, their parents, CT + other professionals (as needed)
• Enhanced language and communication programmes across the phases in addition to personalised targeted support.

The team at Mildmay Primary School work in collaboration with a variety of external professionals including Speech and Language Therapists and BSL Tutor who visit weekly to work with children on personalised targets and outcomes.
