  • RAAC Concrete - NO ISSUE for MPS

    Fri 01 Sep 2023 D MUlholland

You will, no doubt, have seen in the national news that there are over 100 schools nationwide, and a significant number in Essex, that have been required, at very short notice, to close areas of their school owing to concerns over RAAC Concrete roofing panels.

I can reassure you that this DOES NOT impact upon Mildmay Primary School in any way. There is no RAAC concrete on our site and we have not been contacted by the authorities with any instruction to close.

We will be opening the school fully and as planned for all children on Tuesday 5th September. We’re looking forward to seeing you all next week.

  • Thank You to our Parents and Community

    Wed 19 Jul 2023 D Mulholland

I just want to finish our first year with a huge thank you for all the support, assistance and kind words you have shared with us across the year. At the start of the school year it was my highest priority to be and feel like single primary school, doing our best for the children of our community and ensuring that we live up to our school motto:

“Growing, caring and learning together; meeting challenges, making the most of opportunities and enjoying the journey.”

I hope you agree with my perception that we have achieved a great deal in our first year and that you are as excited about the future as we continue to be.

All the children who took part were fantastic and we brought home lots of gold, silver and bronze medals. The children were lucky to meet a Paralympic Gold medallist too!

Oh, by the way Mildmay won both the KS1 and Inclusion Games Trophies!! We were pretty close to winning KS2 as well!

Next week we'll be sharing some photos of this event in our gallery. Well done Team Mildmay, you did us proud!
