Spring/Easter fun

We enjoyed the egg hunt where we needed to look behind, in front, in between, under, and on when we were searching outside. We had a lot of fun playing Easter games with our friends.

Easter crafts/activities

The Train Ride

We have been sharing the book 'The Train Ride' this week. We have had fun learning, here a some of the activities we enjoyed; practising writing straight lines by creating our own railway track, going on journeys outside in our own train; we enjoyed visiting the zoo, taking it in turns to print train carriages, drawing train pathways outside using chunky chalks (straight and curvy lines), learning and talking about old steam trains and modern new trains, making bridges from pots and lollipop sticks, printing using trains in paint.  We even made our own train and enjoyed travelling inside and outside!

Subitising 3

We showed the amounts 1, 2 and 3 using our fingers. Then we found the matching dot plate and put it by the matching numeral on the screen.

Hello Yellow Day

We enjoyed taking part is some relaxing yoga activities. We felt calm and quiet when practising some slow breathing techniques. We listened to different pieces of music and talked about how they made us feel and whether we liked the piece of music or not. We shared a circle time, talking about someone/something we were thankful for.

Shapes

We shared the book 'Whatever Next'. We made our own rockets and flew them outside.

Autumn

The Gingerbread Man

We read 'The Gingerbread Man' and then outside created his journey. We chanted 'Run run as fast as you can you can’t catch me I’m the Gingerbread Man'. We went over, under, through different pieces of equipment e.g. we went over the bridge, through the circle window.
