“Growing, Caring and Learning Together”

Year 2

Remembrance Day

We made poppies after learning about Remembrance Day. First we created poppy shapes on cardboard then we collaged them using different shades of red paper. After that we used black paper for the middle of the poppy and green paper to collage the leaf.

Sketching

We have been experimenting with sketching techniques that show texture. We applied these new skills by using a drawing pencil to create observational drawings of soft toys.

The Great Fire of London

We created these fiery silhouettes of London during the Great Fire. We explored hot colours and combined painting techniques with cut out building shapes.
